Great, thanks! At least for my use cases it's working now, i.e. both
for the monolithic and the split manual correct cross-references to an
external manual are generated.
Generation of multiple manuals in a single `manual' directory and
references between these manuals work as well after I changed
gendocs.sh a little bit. I've attached a diff showing these changes
in case somebody is interested. The only thing that's missing is an
index.html linking all index.<package>.html files. But I'm not yet
sure if I even need that.
