First thing that comes to my mind would be something along

@itemize @bullet
@item
@findex CONFIGURE_MALLOC_STATISTICS
@code{CONFIGURE_MALLOC_STATISTICS} is defined when the application
wishes to enable the gathering of more detailed statistics on the
C Malloc Family of routines.
