The only program which needs to be changed is digestif; Emacs and the
eglot library are not involved in this.

Emacs isn't affected; it is the lsp-server digestif using info to access
the manual.
For the time being, I think we should just wait for Texinfo 7.1 and then
see how things work. Again, many thanks for your time.
