I would just mention that Youtube and Twitter are both centralized
walled-gardens that are technically non-free. In the event they decide
to pull their API for any reason it will no longer work with free
software and users are not in control of their data and cannot move it
to another instance as we can with GNU Social. What makes them usable at
all with free software is different front-ends and utilities that users
have made to scrape them without non-free JS.
