Charles, I don't think you'd be able to "grab" a 802.11b solution. the PHY is
not so very difficult as is the MAC for 802.11b. you could setup the phy
yourself in some time.

there's not much info on
802.11b with regards to bit resolution. the 10-bit thing is for simulations
done here by us wherein we "presume" an 8-bit solution should not be too
limiting in performance either.
