Epiq Solutions is pleased to announce that the first production of the Bitshark
USRP RX (BURX) daughterboard has been completed. The BURX daughterboard is a
broadband RF receiver that is capable of tuning from 300 MHz to 4 GHz,
providing up to 50 MHz of RF bandwidth. It plugs into either the USRP
or the USRP2, just like any other daughterboard. Additional details
of this board (and other members of the Bitshark family) can be found
here:

We are now accepting credit card orders for the BURX board through our
website, and expect to start shipping boards by 5/7. To place an
order, follow the "Add to Cart" link on the BURX product page:

Initial quantities of this board are limited. For all the folks that
placed a pre-order with us, we will hold your boards for 15
days (until 5/14), after which they'll be released into the publicly
available pool of boards.

The GPL version of the BURX driver for both the USRP and the USRP2 is
expected to be
part of the GNU Radio 3.3 official release, but until then, we've set
up a git repository at github with driver support for the BURX board
added in. This repo can be cloned with the following command:

git clone git://github.com/JohnOrlando/gnuradio-bitshark.git

Then perform the standard bootstrap/configure/make/sudo make install, and you
should be all set.

Additional documentation for the BURX board will be made available in
the coming weeks on
the BURX product page, so stay tuned.
