[Discuss-gnuradio] ImportError: cannot import name ais

From: Thunder87
Subject: [Discuss-gnuradio] ImportError: cannot import name ais
Date: Wed, 13 Oct 2010 03:06:47 -0700 (PDT)

Installed gr-ais package from cgran:
apt-get install autoconf automake libtool gcc g++ subversion python-dev
svn co https://www.cgran.org/svn/projects/gr-ais/trunk /home/gr-ais
cd /home/gr-ais/trunk
./bootstrap
./configure
make install

No errors at this point. Only few warnings in make.
Then tried to execute ais_decode.py:
cd src/python
python ais_decode.py -R B -g 55 -e -2e3

Got import error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "ais_decode.py", line 11, in <module>
    from gnuradio import ais
ImportError: cannot import name ais

Everything seems to install properly. Any ideas?

Output of "make" :
address@hidden:/home# cd /home/gr-ais
address@hidden:/home/gr-ais# ./bootstrap
address@hidden:/home/gr-ais# ./configure

If you ever happen to want to link against installed libraries
in a given directory, LIBDIR, you must either use libtool, and
specify the full pathname of the library, or use the `-LLIBDIR'
flag during linking and do at least one of the following:
   - add LIBDIR to the `LD_LIBRARY_PATH' environment variable
     during execution
   - add LIBDIR to the `LD_RUN_PATH' environment variable
     during linking
   - use the `-Wl,-rpath -Wl,LIBDIR' linker flag
   - have your system administrator add LIBDIR to `/etc/ld.so.conf'

See any operating system documentation about shared libraries for
more information, such as the ld(1) and ld.so(8) manual pages.
