I think that in the case of these projects, naming the project file
${projectname}.pcproj is ok, because the project directories are not
"file packages".
However, I would like to point that in the case of file packages,
naming an item inside the directory with the same name makes it more
difficult to rename the file package. IE. it's more difficult to
rename ${application}.app/${application} than it would have been if
they would have used the convention of naming the executable of the
applications ${application}.app/executable. Same for the bundles, etc.
An example of a good naming scheme is WriteNow which names its
documents inside a file package "${whatevername}.wn/WNDocument.wn".
