GDL status and future ?

Hi,

I finally managed to get a clean compile (without any warnings :-)) of 
GDL 1.2.0 under Mac OS X. This was not too easy, mainly because of all 
the Objective-C runtime related stuff that is in GDL 1.2.0.

Shortly after finishing this work, I learned that a version 2 of GDL is 
on the way. Could someone please tell me when this version will be 
released, who is working on it and how complete it is?

I' interested in bringing GDL to Mac OS X. I'm even willing to 
contribute to it's further development (although my focus is Coca, not 
GNUstep). At the moment I'm quite a bit irritated that GDL 2 seems to be 
kind of hush-hush. At least I have not found any signs of it's existence 
in the CVS repository ...

As already stated in an earlier posting: there is a *huge* interest in 
an EOF like technology (written in Objective-C) within the Cocoa 
community.
