has anyone successfully compiles gnustep under mandrake 8.1? this is a
fresh install, no updates, with all of the development packages, excet
for the mysql stuff...
yet, i am unable to compile the gnustep stuff, and although the rpms
install fine, i get wierd errors when i go to compile anything that uses
the objective-c libraries.
everything up untill the gnustep-gui package compiles just fine. i followed the
steps i the howto at gnustep.org to the letter. i am wondering if there is
anything specific to mandrake that i should watchout for.
make[2]: *** [example.service/Resources/Info-gnustep.plist] Error 1
make[1]: *** [example.all.service.variables] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/home/psifm/gnustep-build/gnustep-gui-0.7.5/Tools'
make: *** [internal-all] Error 2
this is the error
gcc 2.96
make 3.79.1
i have the objective c runtime isntalled, and the gnustep-make package rebuilt
from it
i did run the script to set my environment before i tried to run make
thanks for the help
