I figured it out! (not really, but I did something and it worx now) I
updated from CVS and re installed FSF's GCC (including the 'ln -s
libobjc.a libobjc.dylib' thing) and now it's going...

Perhaps you could try building with 'make messages=yes' so you can see
what commands are actually being executed, and check what versions of
the make and base library you are using ... if from cvs, undate from
cvs again to make sure you have the latest code.
