Forgot that you also have 'gnugc' as ObjC runtime library, which means
'GNU ObjC runtime library compiled with Garbage Collection'.  So you also
have the valid combos

gnugc-gnu-gnu
gnugc-fd-nil

But that doesn't change the point of the discussion.
