This would be a hack, and although it would solve a few simple problems in the 
short term, it would be a dead end that would have to be discarded sometime 
later. It wouldn't be like using OpenStep at all. You could probably compile 
simple programs with it, but simple programs aren't needed anywhere, least of 
all on Windows. It would also conceivably be the source of very much confusion 
and require lots of explanation, thereby making GNUstep even harder to 
understand conceptually by non-NeXT people than it already is.

IIRC, in the VERY beginning GNUstep used native Motif widgets. So the project 
already tried this path and abandoned it.

I personally would never use such a thing. I don't think we should waste time 
on this.
