If you would be a little more alert you would have noticed that GNUstep is distributed under the LGPL licence ( http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/lesser.html ) not under the GPL license. The most important difference is that you are _not_ required to put your code under the (L)GPL too if you use GNUstep. Closed source is fine and dandy with GNUstep.
