No, there's no reason this can't be done. The windows installer does not 
include the GUI stuff as of right now simply because the kind soul who 
makes the installer for us does not personally have nay need for GUI 
support, so for him, going to thr trouble of including it and taking the 
time to compile it is not worth his time. It might be to you, and if 
that's the case, I am sure that your contribution is welcome.

we already do that...the -base installer bundles mingw, and it gets 
installed into c:\<gnustep-install-dir\development\mingw automatically 
when you run the binary installer.
