Speaking of this, is there any plan to integrate GWNet into the main GWorkspace app? (Or is this already done and I don't know how to activate it? I'm thinking of something like Cmd-K in OS X Finder..)

GWNet /is/ integrated with GWorkspace. It can be used only with gw, that is, to download a file you must dnd it to a gw windof, folder, etc. If you ctrl-drag, you create a .bmk file, that is, a king of bookmark that can be opened by GWNet. The only problem with this app is that... nobody uses it; I've announced the 0.1 version the last year and, since then, I've had no bug report. So, if you want to try it, you must expect some problems...

I've tried it a little bit and it works well for me. But I was wondering is there any easier way to browse a network resource in GWorkspace aside from launching the separate application manually? I suspect some of the lack of use might be due to this energy barrier. One form of integration would be to hit a menu or "cmd-K" in GWorkspace, enter the network resource, and have this auto-launch GWNet (or connect to it) in the background like with Inspector, etc. now. (Similar from user perspective to old RBrowser app on NS/OS.) More extensive integration would avoid this separate launch, and make connected network resources appear in some type of virtual root directory in GWorkspace (not GWNet) browsers, so that you could seamlessly navigate between local and networked resources, copy/paste, etc. in the same or multiple GWorkspace windows. (Like OS X Finder now.)

Also, SSH-based remote access would be nice. I was going to start hacking this but then it looked like some refactoring would be best first, and then I got caught up elsewhere.. I know there is the remote-access client-server system built into GWorkspace itself, but most of the machines I would access do not have GNUstep installed on them..
