something like 'make -n' ?
caution: it's would be extremely verbose, too much in fact, but maybe you could output it to a file and study the file....

Subject: can make echo commands?

Hi,
I appologise if I seem like spamming here... I haveg like make -n or make -
another question. Is it possible to echo the commands
make issues while compilation onto stdout? I seem to
be missing some library, but the system is so complex,
I dont have any idea as to what's going on.... It
would be great if I could see the commands on screen,
along with the helpful messages like "Compiling file
so-and-so".

Thanks,
DD
