Your windows are borderless because you do not have a window manager running. X11 does not provide any window management, so you need to run apple's quartz-wm window manager. Open up a terminal and type quartz-wm to have it run. I added it to the X11 Applications menu for easy access. You can also add the quartz-wm command to your .xinitrc file in your home directory to make it start up automatically with X11.

Good luck,

Hello Andrew,

I have worked out a temporary solution that will let me limp along until the next release. I built treecc and pnet myself but I downloaded the prebuilt pnetlib as posted in the developers mailing list and block copied it into my /usr/local sub.

This now works and I can run FormsHello.exe
My windows, however, appear UNDER the mac menubar.
Also, all of my windows are borderless.
I suspect that this is a problem with my X-windows (Apple public beta)

Thanks for your offer to help and for getting back to me so soon. This group has been really helpful and should be commended on it's professionalism.

On a side note, I also killed many weeks trying to compile on OS/X only to find out it was the Apple update to gcc 3.3 that took me off the air. Even using gcc_select back to 3.1 failed. Just a word of warning to others. Is gcc 3.3 support something that is being looked at for the september release?

Thanks again,

Oscar
