Has anyone try compile pnet on linux at alpha?
I try compile it in PLD-linux distribution both with gcc 2.95.5 and
3.3.1, but it failt with:
alpha-pld-linux-gcc -DGC_LINUX_THREADS=1 -D_REENTRANT=1 -DTHREAD_LOCAL_ALLOC=1
-DHAVE_DLFCN_H=1 -DSILENT=1 -DNO_SIGNALS=1 -DNO_EXECUTE_PERMISSION=1 -DALL_INTE
RIOR_POINTERS=1 -DJAVA_FINALIZATION=1 -DGC_GCJ_SUPPORT=1 -DATOMIC_UNCOLLECTABLE
=1 -I.././libgc/include -fexceptions -O2 -mieee -fomit-frame-pointer -Wall
-fexceptions -c mach_dep.c -Wp,-MD,.deps/mach_dep.TPlo -fPIC -DPIC -o
.libs/mach_dep.lo
mach_dep.c: In function `GC_push_regs':
mach_dep.c:383: parse error before `>'
make[2]: *** [mach_dep.lo] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/users/builder/rpm/BUILD/pnet-0.5.12/libgc'
Complete buildlog is available:
ftp://buildlogs.pld-linux.org/ra/alpha/FAIL/pnet.bz2

Why libgc and libffi are included with pnet? Why orginal libraries aren't
used?

btw - pnet build and work on address@hidden,i586,i686,athlon,ppc,sparc} :)
packages in near future will be available in PLD linux distribution:
http://www.pld-linux.org

and build, but doesn't work on address@hidden - try compile pnetlib with
pnet:
/bin/sh "../../../tools/link_res.sh" mscorlib.resources.dll
runtime.de.resources de
/usr/local/bin/cscc: virtual memory exhausted
make[3]: *** [mscorlib.resources.dll] Error 1

(this machine has 4gb ram and 8 gb swap and... exhausted virtual memory
is impossible ;)
