well, can't you create as many buckets as you like? why only one?


I hadn't considered that. It's more work to create each bucket and set up life cycle rules though.

I have one bucket per country/region, each of which stores data for a number of servers in that region. There is a limit of buckets per S3 account, though I'm nowhere near it.
