It seems I have reached an age with loss of memory :(
...I knew that...

Controlling again: the backup of my Downloads folder has no manifest and 
no sigtar-file - seems to be the same as the Documents folder (without 
recognizing a timeout error).....
The other backups seem to be complete.
So I do have 2 backups for a local backup test ;)
