[Dvdrtools-users] problems burning DVD-Rs

Hi, I am trying to burn a DVD-R using a TDK IndiDVD 440N on a Suse Linux 
8.2 system. I can burn DVD+R's fine, but when I try to burn a DVD-R 
using cdrecord-ProDVD

I get this error:

any ideas why I am seeing this? i tried 2 brand new DVD-Rs and both gave 
the same results...
