Yes, but that is not the whole story. On w32 you may have to convert
an internal Emacs file name to an OS dito.

   (convert-standard-file-name "c:/path/to/file.txt") => "c:\path\to\file.txt"

But I must have been misunderstanding someting since this is quite
obvious ... ;-)
