#2 is bad because it makes people need a net connection.  Anything
that makes people need a net connection for their own computing is
bad.

#2 makes them dependent on the FSF, which is also bad.

#1 is similar; the only real difference is that it makes people
dependent on Google instead of the FSF.  Google is worse in practice,
but in principle this dependence is bad no matter who people are
dependent on.
