Seems that it doesn't like it when you have:

  <U00B7>     /x00         MIDDLE DOT

but

  <U0000>     /x00         MIDDLE DOT

works.  According to the glibc manual, this should accept a UCS-4
value which U00B7 is.  Not sure what gives...
