Apart from any question of inclusion of anything,
what's the logic behind that name, "NonGNU"?

Is it supposed to mean code distributed by GNU
Emacs (e.g., in one of its repositories) that's
not considered _part of_ GNU Emacs? Is it meant
to stand for code that doesn't respect some GNU
standards? Code that isn't assigned to FSF/GNU?
Is it more or less meant for code such as what
GNU used to distribute with Emacs under subdir
"contrib/"?

I'm NOT at all suggesting the name be changed
(especially at this point). But is it really a
good name? What's a good description of this?
What would be other possible names for it? How
should we understand it?

Apologies if this is explained clearly somewhere
and I missed that explanation. (If so, please
point to it.)
