Interesting: I use Gnus; I'm using it right gnow.

Thanks for the tip, I might install darcs and get it.  I was not up for
installing one piece of software just to get another one, but Emms did
not work when I locally installed it (i.e. to ~/lisp/el/emms), so I may
try it.
