I didn't get any responses to this posting to the Ruby ML, so I assume that
no one has looked at this problem.

Anyway, I'm going to figure out what's going on with the threading under
Windows because 1) we can't run FreeRIDE on Windows, and 2) it doesn't seem
like anyone else is working on it.

I am going to try to figure out the threading problem, out of necessity --
as it is holding up the development of FreeRIDE.

If anyone has already spent any time investigating this, I would appreciate
any information that you could pass on to speed up my efforts.
