Hello hello,

I'd like to know if you choosed ruby 1.7 for any particular reason for
the ruby of freeride/win32 ?

TIA,

Yes. 1.7 is the only Ruby version is that works well enough on Windows to run FreeRIDE. 1.6 has to many weaknesses and bugs when it comes to threading and IO. And I think there are still problems with the current 1.8.

On Linux you can use 1.6, 1.7 or 1.8. It works equally well.

PS: As the developer of the FR debugger I sincerely hope that Ruby 1.8 on Win32 will fix all the threading and IO issues... Making the FR debugger work on Win32 has been a nightmare so far :-(
