I am using the new alpha23 win32 release on Windows 2000. I used the .exe installer. I'm inclined to think it was something screwy with my machine, though, since renaming the original file from "icon.ico" to " glob2.ico" also worked, and renaming it back to "icon.ico" broke it again. The unwanted icon I was seeing is from another application which uses the filename "icon.ico". I can't imagine why these would collide, but I guess that's Windows for you!On 4/20/07, Kieran P < address@hidden> wrote:I am still not aware what the problem is as it works on both Windows XP computers I own with no problems. Are you using the alpha23 win32 release? On 4/20/07, Bob Hoff <address@hidden> wrote:Not sure what my issue was. I tried all the fixes in this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q132668/ but had no luck. I tried the icon file NanoTech attached earlier, but Windows claimed it had no icons. I used GIMP to remove the icons larger than 48x48 and tried that (attached). This time I was able to change the icon on the shortcut and it stuck. This includes 16-color, 256-color and 32-bit icons at 16x16, 32x32 and 48x48, rather than just the 32-bit, 32x32 icon that came with the release. To anyone having a problem with the icon in Windows, I'd recommend this icon.On 4/19/07, Kieran P < address@hidden> wrote:Well, I think that might a be a problem with you system. The file properties show the icon is correct, so the install did its job. Try restarting the computer, and refreshing the desktop (right click > refresh ??)

Here's a new one I made for a21 a while ago._______________________________________________
