6310i stops responding

Hi

I'm using gnokii 0.5.0pre6 with a 6310i.  The phone stopped responding
to serial requests yesterday and I found that power cycling the phone
fixes the problem.  I've grabbed a "debug" --identify before and after
the powercycle.  What are the odds of a software workaround for this
problem?
