I don't see an option in the mailman interface for that.

Savannah advertises contact points on the home page and you should
take it up via those. It is, I believe, a mostly-volunteer-operated
system.

One idea is to volunteer to hack an option into mailman (assuming that
that is where the address-munging is taking place).
