This is a good thing!

This is actually something that doesn't just help out newbies. It can help
out others as well. For example, I've got gobs of branches that I no
longer care about. I want them to hang around because of branch
dependancies, but I don't plan to work on them any more. 

Lets go about this differently. :) 

I think I have a way to handle this that is more palatable to you. Sealed
branches are equivilant (but not identical) to the concept of a "closed"
branch.

I can set up rbrowse to not display sealed branches by default. This gives
people the ability to "hide" branches in a way that makes sense from an
arch standpoint.
