This one I fixed I long while ago - it's a bug in makeinfo - the patch
I sent was applied upstream (5 months, 2 weeks ago) but there hasn't
been a new release since.  If you care to update your own copy
yourself, I attach the patch below (it's really trivial) - or you
could just get the updated source code from savannah.
