>From my point of view, the risk of loosing information in the .rej
files is bigger than this. The objective of default values is to be
useable by beginners, and I think beginners don't want to be able to
commit with a .rej file in the way.
I agree that .rej belonging to unrecognized can be a problem for
advanced users, but this category of user is able to edit his
=tagging-method file. Beginners may not (yet).
