Only with the non-Free firmware that Linux recently split out of the
driver sources into separate files.  Without them, it works reasonably
well for 2D, but not 3D, unless you're running the Linux versions right
after the transition, that ran into all sorts of interrupt storms and
other problems when the firmware was not available.

Most Intel graphics chips work fine with 3D, if they work at all.

Nouveau is getting there.
