As "Free Software" continues to fail, true unencumbered open source code will accelerate it's benefits to the public by encouraging new proprietary free market competition thus benefiting everyone. People who don't like the real, unconstrained "freedom" of BSD and MIT style licenses can place their code under their pillows or sell it to the highest bidder. Now, that's *real* freedom.
