[gnugo-devel] laddering

This might have already been talked about on the list somewhere, but
why does gnugo's calculations take so much longer when it is put into
a ladder? I have noticed a considerable decrease in performance in
ladders.

I am not yet a proficient go player, so I might just not understand go
enough, but maybe someone could provide an explanation.
