It did work before without compatibility mode ? That sucks. It can be due to 
now using python 2.6 instead of python 2.5

If you can verify that it worked with python 2.5 (e.g. GNUmed 1.1.4) and does 
not work any more in 1.19 (GNUmed 1.1.9) I will have to dig into this.

Hmm, works on my system. Could you try to find out if there are any other 
gnumed.conf files besides the one in

c:\Program files\GNUmed-client\

Ok. I need a boostrap log for this but will try here locally again. Find the 
bootstrap log file in 

c:\program files\GNUmed-server\bootstrap

You should never bootstrap if you have data in the database already.
