I have no idea what you are talking about but if there is no way to do
the pretty same procedure as it was used until 1.1.7 I think you will
waste your time. 

Whatever you do - please ping me when a new release tarball with fixed
docs is available.  I'm not motivated to create a large patch to a
broken tarball.
