Cool.  I have not had such luck with NTRIP a mile away...

FWIW, a couple of days ago I took an F9P with the Lefebure NTRIP caster software and the Ohio DOT VRS network out into the field to spot a bunch of antenna tower locations. Data captures of around 80 - 120 seconds show CEP(95%) of a few millimeters when there's an RTK FIX solution.

I'm using the u-blox ANN-MB-00-00 dual-freq mag mount antenna, which seems a bit touchy. It absolutely wants a ground plane (I'm using a metal pie tin) and the solution often dropped to float when there were sky obstructions. (But I think the receiver may have been left in GPS-only mode; turning GLONASS on would probably help with that by making more SVs available.)

I was impressed with how well my lashed-together portable surveying experiment worked, and I'm in favor of going to %.9f to fully exploit the F9 receiver capabilities.
