   Have a look at g-wrap.  It's not lilke swig, which is (IMO) a good
   thing.

thanks for the tip.  i did some soul-searching and realized i'm ready to
let go of my swig-fan ways and look at g-wrap w/ an open mind.  (getting
old has nasty side effects!)
