It's sarcasm. Because:

if i was to ask that thread topic question, i would ask 'what is yacc_EOF.. is it eof or something else'

maybe that eof line separator was meant global, not just for the for cmd

The question as posed is pretty much meaningless. It's a cosmetic issue
that doesn't affect behavior.
