I once found it useful. I also used the example in the Aho et al "Dragon"
book, which includes a Lex (Flex) scanner.

Right. Akim Demaille wrote something more ambitions though, called
"Programming with GNU Software: Bison", which was posted in Help-Bison
2002/01/10 as an attachment "bi.pdf".
