I am using 2.0.b1, and I'd like to delete some obsolete symlinks from /
on a number of hosts. What is the recommended way to do this? Is it
advisable to have e.g.:
files:
any::
/ recurse=0 action=fixall links=tidy
Will this delete all symlinks in / that do not point to any existing
file or directory?
If the above is correct, then what about the following scenario:
We have automounter maps called e.g. /prod/xxx and for historical
reasons we also have a symlink from root as
/xxx -> /prod/xxx
If the automounter is running, then /prod/xxx exists, and the symlink
/xxx is not deleted. However, if the automounter is not running, then
/prod/xxx does not exist, and the symlink /xxx will be deleted....is
this a correct interpretation?
If I want to explicitely specify what symlinks to delete, how should I
do that?
