Let me explain what I mean with an example.
It would be nice if instead of a string of the form
(cmdline.h header):
/** @file cmdline.h
 *  @brief The header file for the command line option parser
 *  generated by GNU Gengetopt version 2.22.4
 *  http://www.gnu.org/software/gengetopt.
 *  DO NOT modify this file, since it can be overwritten
 *  @author GNU Gengetopt by Lorenzo Bettini */
one could get its e.g. Polish (if Polish locales are set) translation:
/** @file cmdline.h
 *  @brief Plik nagłówkowy parsera lini komend
 *  wygenerowany przez GNU Gengetopt wersja 2.22.4
 *  http://www.gnu.org/software/gengetopt.
 *  NIE MODYFIKUJ tego pliku, gdyż jest on generowany autmatycznie
 *  @author GNU Gengetopt by Lorenzo Bettini */

... and yes, doxygen has built-in support for multiple languages. Let me quote
its manual: "Currently (version 1.7.4), 38 languages are supported". (the
output language is configured by setting OUTPUT_LANGUAGE tag in doxygen
configuration file).
