I agree a lot with what Henning sais. Concerning getting help and 
implementation/architectural issues, I think that Stephane 
Marchand-Maillet has some deep thoughts on flexible architectures for 
MRML, and maybe even some JAVA source code to share. As he is a busy 
guy, it might be worth contacting him directly.
