Does cvs accept change directory structure of my project's file:

Hi there,
I am presently working in the re-structuration of a java project; the
project is linked to a repository on cvs. Now suppose I want to change
the directory structure of the files on my workspace: (taking files
from older directories to new ones). Is there any way to tell it to cvs
in order to keep the versions of the files? Thks, Alan.
