That shows up the history for a file, but it doesn't
work for a directory of files. I mean, if I have a
directory of files, it would be impractical to
right-click on each and every file in that directory
to see what the history is for that file. And
right-clicking the directory doesn't seem to bring up
the history for all the files within it. Is there
anything I'm missing ?

You might check your system to see if or is installed.
I think the is the one you will want, for windows.
The script will generate a "Changelog" for all of the files and directories inside of the directory you run it in. I don't know if there is a way to tie an eclipse button to the script, but until you figure out how to do that you will want to run the script from the command line and then read the Changelog _file_ that it outputs.

I'm new to CVS. We use CVS in Eclipse.

How can I view a repository history -- who added
which file and who made
changes to eclipse ?

For example, in Visual Source Safe, we can right
click on a folder and see
the entire history of the changes to files in that
folder and other
sub-folders. Is there a way to do this in CVS, in
Eclipse ?
