Dear Arthur,

Out of curiosity, what clue did I provide that allows you to
erroneously presume that I was using CVSNT?

g:\cvsroot\wc5\wcrepair/wcrepair.cpp,v

Granted I suppose you could be using Cygwin, but many of us have come to expect that if someone is clued enough to be using Cygwin, they will explicitly tell us that, because it brings it's own set of ... interesting things.

It does help a bit if folks on windows (and even on other platforms) would explicitly include the first 5 lines of output from `cvs --version`.

Further, why would you
erroneously presume that I would waste time in the wrong user support
fora?

Because it does happen often enough that someone who would probably be better served by the CVSNT group posts here, probably through finding this as the first thing that google brings up for cvs.

Though, sometimes even in those cases I do agree with you... the question (and answer) is often nearly equally applicable to both the original CVS and CVSNT.
But in this case Arthur did also give some feedback on the question.
